BEN HOWSE | THE COUNSELLOR
In order to make Ben appear older we flattened down his hair with hair wax, drew on a a beard with brown mascara, eyebrow wax and gel eyeliner, and made him wear glasses. We dressed him in a suit and tie to make him appear smart, but also a jumper to make the outfit slightly less formal.
TILLY HALE | JESSIE
To make Tilly seem like she has suffered domestic abuse, we applied bruising to her face and neck using a mixture of eye shadows, dark lip gloss and contour powder. We applied foundation, concealer and powder as a base to even out the skin tone, and a small amount of blusher and bronzer on the cheeks and forehead to add some colour to her face so she didn't look too washed out.
THE BRUISING
To make Tilly's eyes appear swollen and tired we applied purple toned eye shadow under the eye and on the lid as a base. We then applied purple, dark brown, red, teal, slight blue and green eye shadows around her right eye to form a bruising effect. We also applied dark red and brown lip gloss in blots to make it appear like scabs on the forehead. We wanted the bruising to appear as if it were 'healing' but still recent and sore to touch, so it still had redness to it.
